On Thursday, 17 May 2018 (01 Ramadan 1439), Al Falaah College launched its Social Cohesion Campaign.

The Department of Arts and Culture, defines Social Cohesion as “ A degree of social integration and inclusion in communities and society at large and the extent to which mutual solidarity finds expression among individuals and family”. The aim of this campaign is to promote a harmonious environment for our learners based on mutual understanding, respect, tolerance and acceptance of our diversity on various levels. We hope to create dialogue around these issues of differences, not only in school but in our community at large.

#AFCSocialCohesionCampaign2018 at #myAFC “You’ve been Mugged”...

We at AFC would love to do more , especially for our elderly. With this in mind , we embarked on a campaign to do something special on July the 18th which marks Mandela Day. We called on the Al Falaah community to sponsor a mug filled with goodies for the elderly at Tafta homes. We were amazed by the response and effort made by pupils. Total number of mugs collected 450. This is another “spoke” in the Al Falaah Outreach wheel which includes the winter blanket distribution, containers 4 Rohingya, hamper packing and distribution, daily sandwich preparation and distribution to schools, hydrate campaign and Crèche in the informal settlement. It is our humble wish that we at Al Falaah make a personal difference to the lives of others.

Congratulations to brothers Azhar (Grade8 ) and Akbar Ally (Grade 6) who have been selected for the KZN Provincial Swimming Team for 2018.

Azhar and Akbar will be participating in a Three-Province Swimming Challenge event to be hosted by KZN scheduled in October this year. The brothers are pupils at Al Falaah College and have acquitted themselves admirably in all aspects of school life. We wish them all the best in their preparation and participation.

The Board of Governors congratulates the College on hosting a very successful Reunion on 18/3/2018. Furthermore we thank the Marketing Department for establishing a quarterly newsletter to keep our Alumni abreast with activities, events and milestones.

Alhamdulillah, The College has developed into a brand associated with quality and investment in human capital. For this we are grateful to the Almighty for His many blessings and to you the ex-students who contributed to the growth and development. At the same time we must not forget the uncompromising efforts of all our ex-teachers, principals and founders. May ALLAH bless you.
Our aim in the short term is to develop a platform for communication and networking. We are hopeful that insha ALLAH once you embark on a few activities
the Alumni Council will gain momentum.

May ALLAH protect you and your families with Afiyah and Barakah.

Take Care,

First Council Meeting to take place 09 May 2018 (Wednesday) at 17:30 at the school.

Dear Ex-Student

May you and your family be well by the Mercy of ALLAH. On behalf of the Board and Management of the College I thank you for spending the afternoon of Sunday 18/3/2018 with us.

I am sure you will agree that it was nostalgic and exciting to meet friends, colleagues and ex-teachers, some whom we may have not seen for a long time. Life is about relationships and we encourage you to maintain the contact.

We also place on record our thanks to the Marketing Committee and the Mum’s Committee for organizing such a great Reunion. Finally we are confident that our Alumni Council (to be formed) will be the catalyst for many activities and reunions in the future insha ALLAH. In the meantime, take care and remember us in your duas especially as we approach Ramadan.
