Allah says in the Qur’an, ‘By means of water, we give life to everything’. (Qur’an, 21:30)
‘The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”’. [Abu Dawud]
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever digs a well will receive reward from Allah on the Day of Judgement when anyone from amongst the jinn, men and birds drink from it.”   [Bukhari and Muslim]
Allah (mighty and sublime be He) will say on the Day of Resurrection: ”... O son of Adam, I asked you to give Me to drink and you gave Me not to drink. He will say: O Lord, how should I give You to drink when You are the Lord of the worlds? He will say: My servant So-and-so asked you to give him to drink and you gave him not to drink. Had you given him to drink you would have surely found that with Me ”.(Muslim)

Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet said, “A drink of water.”

Al-Falaah College participated in the Grade 4 Inter-school Speech Contest 2022 held at Orient Islamic School on Tuesday, 24 May. Learners from various surrounding schools had a chance to display their public-speaking talents.

Alhamdulillah, Al-Falaah College was represented by two dynamic contestants. We are proud of Zayyanah Vally Mahomed (Gr4FDO) and Hawa Makada (Gr4FK) for their sterling efforts and superb performances, Masha Allah.

The boys had an amazing experience during their overnight excursion from the 18 to 20 May 2022 at the Sugar Bay Holiday Resort situated in Nkwazi.

They were welcomed warmly by staff and counsellors who took excellent care of the students and went as far as ensuring that the medication of each student is taken as per the instruction of his parent.
The counsellors were also quite impressed by the learners Good character and manners. Alhamdulillah!
The manager of the resort was most accommodating and allowed us to convert the resort's “party room” into a Salaah room wherein we had several Deeni programmes which focussed on the Tarbiya (development) of the learners. Alhamdulilla ,all the learners performed all their Salaah with Jamaat.

Children were engaged in a wide range of activities such as wall-climbing, space jumps, canoeing, cycling, fishing, swimming, body-boarding, basketball, football and some exciting night activities.

The students benefitted in various different ways and gained many life skills , some of whom were separated from their parents for the very first time.
