For our final Primary School assembly this Heritage month, Al-Falaah Airlines took our learners on a fun-filled journey through the sights, sounds, cultures and traditions of South Africa!
Instead of simply standing in front of our learners and telling them about Heritage Day, our teachers were put in the hot seat! Each teacher received a boarding pass featuring a South African sports team/national symbol and became a “First Class Passenger” in our South African Alphabet Challenge. When their team was called, they raced to the front, raised their South African flag and battled it out to give an answer for the letter on the screen.
The competition quickly became intense, with teachers shouting out answers, fighting for points and showing just how competitive they could be! The learners thoroughly enjoyed watching their teachers get caught up in the excitement.
The assembly was a wonderful reminder that learning can be fun, interactive and memorable. Sometimes, the best way to teach children is to step away from the lecture and put the adults on the spot too!
